Established 2018
Until now, there have been few opportunities in Canberra for cross-sector collaboration and networking.
Salon Canberra brings together thought leaders, influencers and opinion makers to discuss, debate and dissect issues that influence the future of the nation’s capital.
Unlike traditional business networking forums, Salon Canberra is focused on ideas. Salon Canberra events are intimate and informal, and the attendees as diverse as the discussions.
Salon Canberra is for interested and interesting people, and is underpinned by a commitment to diversity and inclusion. This means that guests are both men and women and include people from diverse backgrounds. Participants are opinion leaders drawn from all facets of business, government, property, the community sector, universities, the technology, research and innovation community, champions for the environment, and the arts and cultural sector.
Salon Canberra events usually take the form of informal, facilitated small-group discussions held over lunch or dinner. Recognised experts and leaders in their respective fields are invited to attend as special guests and to provide brief presentations or to make opening remarks in order to provide a focus to each event.
By curating connections and quality networking opportunities, Salon Canberra aims to spark new conversations and cross-sector collaborations, to create competitive advantage, explore new ideas and expand our city’s potential.
